Question: Judy, I have seen on the golf course the signs that say “90 degree rule”.  What is this 90 degree rule?

Answer:  The "90-Degree Rule" is something golf courses put into place when they want to allow the convenience of golf carts but minimize the impact of those carts on the golf course due to weather/climate conditions. So, when the 90-Degree Rule is in effect, drive up the cart path to a spot directly across from your ball then turn 90 Degrees into the fairway and drive straight to your ball. If your cart partner's ball is nearby, she can take her club and go hit while you wait. If her ball is a good distance away, drive the cart back to the path and repeat the 90 Degree scenario when you pull even with her ball.
